Mountains are a part of creation. They have a design and a purpose. Mountains are beautiful, majestic, breath-taking and somewhat overwhelming. To some mountains are frightening, or a deterrent that makes getting from point A to point B that much longer, a road block, even a huge rock that serves no apparent purpose. How I viewed these mountains somehow translated into how I saw my daily walk. Why? Glad you asked.
Whether you realize it or not, you're going to face mountains every day of you existence. Let's face it, we're in a vast mountain range right now. Whether medical, political, environmental, economical, racial, social, religious or psychological these all can be viewed as mountains! You nor I created them, but they are here and they seem at times to be one after another. You're not Superman nor Wonder Woman. You're not going to leap tall mountains in a single bounce, so forget it. So, how do you get over, around or through these obstacles. It's simple, you have the power in you to take one step at a time. Stop ignoring it, stop avoiding it, stop hoping it will magically disappear. Understand the nature of the issue because the strength and confidence to climb it is in the strength of developing the mental toughness to get up and get started.
Here's a seed...the bumps are what you climb! Failures are bumps, setbacks are bumps, your doubts and fears are the foundations necessary to give you something to step on to get over each mountain that you face. We don't have wings, but believe me, we do have mental muscles...let's develop them and go mountain climbing!
